Roses for the Fallen
Fawn Brown
Miniatures
Matted to 8" x 8" and framed. A blacked-out seven-pointed star lies against a field of Cherokee roses. Inspired by the Cherokee folktale in which roses sprang from the tears of mothers during the Trail of Tears, the blooms symbolize endurance and remembrance. The black star represents those who were lost along the journey west. Surrounded by white petals and quiet green leaves, the star becomes both a void and a presence; honoring grief while acknowledging the strength that continues to bloom.
