Category: Beadwork & Quillwork
This beaded gorget was inspired by the story of the first strawberry, the power of forgiveness and kindness after conflict. It was created to celebrate the bright joy that berries bring. The gorget depicts a lush red strawberry surrounded in the gold of Creator’s light and flagged on each side with the blueberries and blackberries. It was hand-beaded with size 11, 12 and 15 true-cut glass seed beads from Czechoslovakia with 24kt gold-plated beads, cultured pearls and vintage Venetian glass tube beads. It is backed with commercially tanned deer hide and has artificial sinew in the necklace.
