Rhiannon Schubert is an artist of Choctaw heritage residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Having spent her childhood in foster care, Schubert discovered her passion for art as a means of expressing her creativity during challenging times. In 2015, Rhiannon embarked on a series of chalk pastel drawings that showcased well-known landmarks in Tulsa. During this period, she was selected by RAW, an organization dedicated to promoting independent artists across various creative fields, as a featured artist for a collaboration named MERGE at the Vanguard. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and spent several years working in ICU while preserving her passion for art. In May 2023, Rhiannon took a break from professional nursing to help care for her adoptive father who was suffering from cancer.

In January 2024, her father lost his battle with cancer. Overwhelmed by grief, she returned to her artistic pursuits, this time exploring the medium of oil pastels. Her husband had presented her with an oil pastel palette from Sennelier, which inspired her to experiment with recreating images from Polaroid photographs. Within a few months, Rhiannon began selling her oil pastel creations at various events, including Watercress Fest, the Ponca City Art Festival, and the First Friday Art Crawl in Tulsa. She is currently a featured resident artist at Sky Gallery in Tulsa, and her oil painting titled "Disappearing Us" was chosen by the Tulsa Artist Association (TAC) for their 36th annual Members Show.
