I am a Cherokee artist, born and raised in rural northeastern Oklahoma. My artistic journey began late in life after retiring from a 40-year career. I feel incredibly fortunate to have this opportunity to rekindle the passions which drove me in my youth. I love the feel of shaping the stone beneath my hands and I delight in finding the rich colors buried deep beneath the surface. I work outdoors, beneath the beautiful Oklahoma skies, with the wind whispering in the trees above me. For me, sculpting is deeply spiritual and soul-healing.
