I used multiple traditional patterns to depict my vision of Star Woman coming to the Earth. In the Story of the Seven Sisters, the legend says Cherokees came from the area of the Pleiades constellation, also known as the Seven Sisters.

Cherokee Nation

My name is Dylan Sinor and I am a citizen of the Cherokee Nation. I am from Leach, Oklahoma, and I am 24 years old. I like to use fun and bold colors in my artwork to tell stories and bring awareness. I have been weaving for two years and started making baskets from taking classes in the community with my mom that are offered by Cherokee National Treasures.
