Harry Oosahwee (ada-wi dv-no-we-la-ni) grew up in the predominately
Cherokee-speaking community of Money Bean Hollow located between Tahlequah and
Hulbert, Oklahoma. Oosahwee is a first-language Cherokee speaker, and as a
result, has a unique perspective both as an artist and an educator. He has had
a lifelong interest in art and working with the Cherokee language. As an
artist, Mr. Oosahwee depicts his Cherokee traditions and culture through
paintings, carvings, and sculptures.
